Like so many of my clients I have kids and I work full time, so I have to be efficient when it comes to what I spend my time doing, especially as I have four people to feed. 

One of the biggest reasons that people tell me they can’t eat well is because they don’t have time to cook fancy meals. And they say they don’t want to get bored with what they eat or have to eat the same thing each and every day. 

Whilst I can’t help you find more time in the day (I wish) I can tell you what my busy clients and I do to stay on track with nutrition, 25 minutes or less, even if you are not good at cooking! 

Because it is pretty easy, once you know how. Ready?

Let me show you. Each week I buy 6 different types of meat. This gives us a different dinner every night, maybe a repeater once for me, but the kids are out maybe a Friday or Saturday and may not eat at home, so six is all I need. 

Here is what I get: 

  • Chicken (tenderloins) 
  • Beef (mince) 
  • Lamb (diced) 
  • Beef Steak 
  • Pork (diced) 
  • Fish, skin off preferred 

And for each of these meats/ cuts I do one different super simple, but oh so delicious, recipe. 

Take beef mince. 

  1. Just add garlic, carrots and pasta, you have bolognese, just pop on top of veggies and you are done.
  2. Perhaps with the basic bolognese you can throw in some black beans and some Mexican spices and you have chilli con carne.
  3. Maybe you might like to turn your mince into meatballs with a salad or roasted veggies.
  4. Or just flatten the meatballs out and you have hamburger patties.
  5. Want a winter warmer, go for shepherds pie, which is a few extra things to your basic bolognese, with a mashed cauliflower topping rather than potato mash.

That is 5 simple things you don’t really even have to follow a recipe for, that you can do with beef mince.
